Yay! We are reading a new book! This one is called Enders Game and it is very exiting because its Science Fiction! Now, lets get started! Since I have read the first four chapters of the book, I can now tell my audience about them. First off, Ender is a very smart kid and is the youngest of three. One day, he was in school and was, surprisingly, sent to the infirmary. Apparently, that was the day that he would get his chip removed from the back of his neck. This chip was very important since it was a symbol that meant that Ender was one of the genius kids. But not anymore. The monitor was also a pass to get him into the special school everyday. During the removal, Ender screamed in pain since the chip was connected to his nervous system. But a few hours later, he was sent home. He was now, a normal kid. NOT! The reason why he was kicked out of the school was because a military general wanted Ender to go to a military base in space, to train for a deadly battle against the Buggers (a disgusting race of aliens). The night Ender was kicked out of the school, the family had dinner and they were having a long discussion about what happened. Enders other siblings Peter and Valentine, were also in the school of the genius kids, but they were kicked out as well. In the 4th chapter of the book, the author writes about something very exciting. The journey to his Enders new life in which he would train with other genius kids to have a victory against the deadly Buggers humanity fought a long time ago.
Quotes
- I found this quote very interesting and well thought out. It seems more like a lesson or a truth. This quote is very wise and very relatable too. Sometimes, I actually do depend on lies more than the truth usually when Im afraid or nervous.
- Pg. 22 chapter
- I really like this quote because it very meaningful and symbolical. It is well made and I find it very creative. It kind of leaves a small message to how often Ender "feels" Pete's facial expressions.
- Pg. 32 chapter 2
Conclusion
Science-fiction is not my favorite type genre. The movies, I love, but the books, meh. This book has not really captured my attention, but I will have to read more to see. Next, I predict that Ender will arrive at the military base and make new friends and even have some drama or maybe fall in love. Well, until next time!
